Good work, good friend and good food.
My brother Neil came over to help me clean. What a great man! He worked on cleaning the kitchen cabinets and drawers while I cleaned the ceiling fan and worked on mopping the walls. Yes, I said, mopping the walls. I had one mop and to mop heads. I soaked one in water with some Dawn and the other in fresh water. I would mop with the dawn-water and then wring the rinse water head, attach it and mop again. Then wring the dawn-water, attach it and mop again. I had to refresh the rinse water several times. I didn’t have access to water up there, so I threw the dirty water out the window and went down to get more. I know I climbed those stairs at least 7 times (according to my smart watch) but I think it was more than that.
After Neil finished the cabinets, he started on the mop boards of the rooms I had “mopped”. We finished the living room and dining room (other than the mopping of the dining room ceiling) and had enough. I finished up on the kitchen walls and we called it a day.
Other than a brief break for lunch, we were up there for several hours. Afterward, He made dinner, and I served a dessert I had prepared the night before. Sometimes family is all you need.
