One can always hope.

It’s cold outside. It’s only 6° out there. I had to crank the heat for a while to get the place warm enough to paint. It’s not surprising though, as I had to do it before when Neil was here.

I put a second coat of paint on the cabinet and the cabinet doors. Luckily, the paint covers well enough to allow for a single coat on the inside of the cabinet.

Yesterday I did the first coat, and I thought it would be pretty easy. I was wrong. I expected to paint the hallway and the dining room after I did the cabinet, but the cabinet took a long time.

After going up and down the ladder one billion times and crawling around on the dirty floor to get inside the bottom of the cabinet to paint, I’d had enough. I put a coat of paint on the cabinet doors and had to paint the small ones by laying them on the floor. Enough is enough! It’s time to have a beer. Neil suggested it, and I listen to my elders!

Soon, I plan to finish the dining room and the hall and then move the cabinet doors in there so I can paint the front of them. While they dry, I can spray texture the living room and kitchen ceilings. Once I get the kitchen ceiling spray textured and the walls painted, I will install the doors. That’s the hope, anyway. One can always hope, right?
